On July 18, 2024, I will proudly graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, specializing in Service Management, from Bulacan State University. Not only did I earn this prestigious degree, but I was also honored with the title Magna Cum Laude for my dedication and hard work, a testament to the unwavering support I received from my family, friends, and the Filipino people.
Graduating is more than just an academic milestone—it’s a culmination of countless moments of growth, perseverance, and gratitude. As I reflect on my journey, I realize that this achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the love and encouragement from my parents, whose sacrifices have shaped me into who I am today. Their unwavering support during the pandemic, my broken hand, and countless academic challenges helped me see that I was already a winner. I am a winner because of the family, friends, and professors who walked beside me every step of the way. I also owe my success to the Filipino people, whose support made it possible for me to receive an education as an Iskolar ng Bayan. I am grateful for every lesson, not just from textbooks, but from life itself.
“Success is not just about where you are, but about appreciating the journey that got you there.”
This quote reflects the essence of my academic experience: success is not a single moment in time, but a series of blessings, hardships, and growth. It is through facing challenges, both personal and academic, that I realized true success is about embracing what you have and appreciating how far you’ve come. Gratitude has played a huge role in my journey, and I’ve learned that no matter what, we should celebrate the small victories because they add up to something great.
This experience has taught me the importance of appreciating the present and recognizing that success is not determined by comparison but by making the most of the opportunities we have. It has made me realize how crucial it is to focus on our blessings, no matter how small, and to use those as a foundation for growth. My story is a reminder to others that no matter where you start or what obstacles you face, if you stay grateful and determined, you will find success in your own unique way.
As I look forward to the future, I know that this journey is just the beginning. Embrace your journey, no matter how difficult it may seem, and stay focused on the blessings that carry you forward. Success is not defined by the finish line but by the resilience and heart that shape every step of the way. Keep going, keep growing, and remember: you are already a winner.
