Breaking barriers, embracing cultures—one language at a time. On November 6, 2023, I proudly achieved a milestone by passing the HSK Level 1 exam, a recognition of my foundational proficiency in Mandarin. This accomplishment marks a significant step in my journey to mastering a foreign language, a pursuit embedded in the Foreign Language (FL301 and FL302) courses of our curriculum in the Philippines. HSK Level 1 serves as an essential gateway, equipping learners with the ability to understand and use basic Chinese characters and sentences for everyday communication. I owe heartfelt gratitude to Qiáosī lǎoshī, whose guidance and encouragement illuminated my path, and to my classmates and friends, whose shared enthusiasm made the learning process even more enjoyable.
